WELCOME BACK JERONIMO BLACK!!!My condolences go out to your family, time to drive the old 59 chevy in the sky.You will be greatly missed, thank you for your time here!!!
I just heard the news of JCB's passing. I was first introduced to his work when I was a kid and found Absolutely Free and We're Only In It For The Money at the Misawa Air Base Library. I got a big kick from his periodic "inserts
I was sending email to Jimmy for the past two or three years (maybe one letter every 6 months to see how he was doing) and he responded to a number of my letters. In one letter he attached an mp3 of a song his group had recorded. I will treasure these email letters and the mp3. In one letter Jimmy mentioned "the cancer" which was a sign to me that he was not well. Then this summer Jimmy did not reply at all. I did not know he had taken a turn for the worse. I was able to let Jimmy know that I am a fan and I will always fondly remember the Mother's when Jimmy was in the band.
Thanks for the menudo. It was served up after the Geronimo Black gig in San Miguel, New Mexico in 1972. It was good and hot.

No fair you had to leave so soon.

adios - john
