Worked with the Mothers in 1968--69
at several venues in L.A. "The Cheetah Club"
was the most memorable for me.
Frank Zappa became a long time friend
and Jimmy was "The Indian" and an Iconic figure in Rock n' Roll, and I remember those days.

Rest Well with all your Friends
We all will remember.

Thank you for your contributions! My condolences to family and friends.
I enjoyed our phone visits, sorry we didn't get to do any face time. You were a good man and did good work, I hope your family does well in your absence. See ya when I see ya. Keep an eye out for Link Wray.
Jimmy,

I will miss you so much! Hanging out with you at South by Southwest back in 1991 was one of the best times I ever had!! You were a great man and a great musician. The world is a little less colorful without Jimmy Carl Black!!

See you in the great beyond someday!!
Your sweet and humble spirit always came through in everything you did. I'm sure you went from your family's arms to God's. I'm praying for peace and comfort for your family during this hard time.

An old fan in Illinois
