I sure enjoyed seeing Jimmy in El Paso when he was playing with the LowBoys. A real live rock star and local boy as well! He lives on in the music, never really gone.

Being old friends of Roddie (MuffinMen) we had the great pleasure of meeting you three years ago JCB, at Roddie's place in Liverpool, you'll remember!! Quite a few drinks were sunk that night! What a truly geniune guy you are, no RnR pretentiousness with you mate. Back in 1970 I was living with a bunch of hippies in La Crescenta, Ca.. aka ZAP Productions. We produced local concerts and Jimmy, Bunk and the band where frequently on the bill with folks like Little feat, Freddie King and other LA bands....

I'll always remember those day and the times we had just hanging out with Geronimo Black.

I was a bit saddened by the news of Jimmy's passing.... But, it happens to us all eventually...

Thanks for the joy of your presence Jimmy...

"Hi, I'm Jimmy Carl Black & I'm the Indian of the group..." I found myself repeating this line in my youth to the dismay of my HS teachers. Jimmy will be surely missed...

Goodbye my friend - it's a great loss for all of us but you will stay in our hearts and minds. An Moni: wir haben uns leider nur 1x getroffen (Fieberbrunn), ich wünschte, es wäre uns öfter vergönnt gewesen; was bleibt, ist seine Musik und die Erinnerung an einen besonderen Menschen. Alles Gute!

I just read about Jimmy's demise a couple of minutes ago on the net. This is really a shock to me. I once had the privilege to see him perform in a small theatre in Vlissingen, the Netherlands, with the Muffin Men. It was one of the most unforgettable concerts I have ever attended. As it turns out, that was a once in a life time experience, alas.

My regards to his friends and relatives. May lonesome Cowboy Burt rest in peace! He lives on in a lot of memories, including mine.
