I wrote yesterday, that Jimmy Carl Black ist dead! I´m sorry about that! I will always remember the day, that I and Jimmy met at his Concert in Malberg (Westerwald, Germany) at the 29.11.2002. <br /><br />We were drinking a few bears, Jimmy admired my wife Carolina very much. But he said, that his wife is very beautiful too and that he loves his german wife. <br /><br />Jimmy, thank you for this gerat evening an thank you for your music and your storys about Zappa. I will never forget you, and also my wife!<br /><br />Lahnstein, 18.01.2009
Leave it to me to find out anything, late if at all. I'm so glad Jimmy Carl was here and helped to make the Mothers what they were and still are along with all the other great music in his lifetime. I wish there was a heaven for all the more interesting Rock stars and other fine and kindred musicians of worth. It would be one hell of a place to hangout and I'd love to see and listen to Jimmy, Frank and so many others.
I read the news, today about Jimmy's passing on to the higher vibrational plane.<br />Thanks to him and his role in the Mothers.<br />Many blessings to him and his loved ones.<br />"we're only in it for the money" is in my top 10 favorite album list. It is brilliant.<br />i loved jimmy's line. and his great drumming.<br />today,the USA needs Zappa and the Mothers now more than ever. we seem to have lost our sense of humor and are taking ourselves way too seriously. <br />jimmy carl black:may the Great Spirit bless you and keep you!
Just dropped in to give my condolences to his family and friends. I've listened to the Mothers ever since my brother brought " We're Only in it for the Money" home from college in '68,'69,. I was about 14 then and Jimmys " I'm the Indian of the group" phrase stay w/ me to this day. As well as his role as Lonesome Cowboy Burt in 200 Motels. He will be missed! Opel you hot little bitch! And " Are we gettin' paid for this or what!" Peace.Take care Jimmy.
I just downloaded an album of studio and live tracks by the man off of itunes called "wheres my waitress?" and its a killer! do you all know whats up with this? actually i just looked it up on cd baby and its a bunch of rare and live stuff post-mothers. if you don't have it get it!
Nowadays that phrase that boybands members always says to press, "Hi, I´m Justin, and I´m the cuty of group was made fun years ago by Jimmy Carl Black, he was yaers ahead of his time!!

I am a journalist in California. I just finishd a piece on Mr. Black before he died. I was going to include contact info in the article, for people who want to order music from JCB. Do you know if the addresses email@example.com OR http://www.myspace.com/jimmycarlblack1 will allow people to order his music?<br />thank you<br />j.poet
A four cd box set covering jimmy's career except for the mothers years. Obvious reasons with Gail Zappa and lawsuits. Jim had so much great music without incorporating those years , that a box set is more than welcome. thanks jim.
