Just found out about Jimmy on KGSR radio website.<br />I'm sorry I didn't know he was sick.<br />That would be his way, wouldn't it? <br />Not to bother anybody.<br />Thank you for taking care of him and getting the word out to those of us over here in Texas who knew him.<br />I always ran into him in and around the Austin music scene, starting with the Armadillo World Headquarters in the 1970's, Liberty Lunch in the 1980's, Luckenbach 1990's and Antone's and Hondo's in between.<br />He was always the coolest, most mellow, unasssuming guy. <br />I'll miss seeing you around, Jimmy Carl Black~<br />Miz VelAnne<br />Mayor of Luckenbach, Texas (1995-2002)

Jimmy always brought a smile to my face and will continue to do so every time I listen to him.
Jimmy, WISH I had had the chance to say goodbye face to face. Jimmy you had a really cool life all and all so your passing is not so hard to take.
