IM JCB

It was in the spring of 2006 that Menno Kalmann and I visited Jimmy for our 4 hour radio show about the 40th anniverasry of Freak Out. A show that also contained talks with Roy Estrada, Carl Franzoni and the charming Pamela Zarubica, a friend of Jimmy's as well!
We had some beers, met Jimmy's lovely wife and talked about the start of it all.
Jimmy had been a guest in my shows before, including a delightful session in the Siesta Studios with the Muffin Men.
I had known Jimmy since 1980.

He called himself The Timekeeper.
And we laughed about the expression "Shut The Fuck Up....basically!".

I wish he would still make some noise though!

Take it easy, Jimmy, have a safe trip.

Your friend, Co de Kloet
So sad to hear the news. from what i could tell(from interviews, etc) tho' Jimmy was a happy man who lived his life exactly how he chose and didnt seem one bit regretful. he was a true american original who will definitely be missed. Godspeed to u Jimmy. Peace to all.
We'll miss you, but I'd like to think that somewhere you're on the band bus enjoying your cee-gar. RIP, JCB.
