I met & worked with Jimmy in...

I met & worked with Jimmy in Albuquerque in 1979; he received freight for the record store I managed. The first time John Lennon's "Starting Over" was played locally, we stood there staring at the radio with our mouths open. When it was over, we laughed & hugged in the joy of the moment. When he found out I played bass, he made me play on a single he recorded called "Albuquerque Bound" & introduced me to Zappa when he came through town. Several months ago, out of the blue, I attempted to contact him via email & he responded. Much to my surprise, he remembered me, so we exchanged a few emails & caught up a bit. I don't know what made me try to get a hold of him, but I'm so glad I did now. JC, you could tell one hell of a story & you had one hell of a life! Rest easy, old friend...
