I'll always remember you, Sonny, and the days when we bonded, loading hay in the upper valley in El Paso with our pals on Jimmy Ulmer's farm. God Bless You..
From the Primich family to the Black family: your grief is with us. Your dad and husband has been a big part of our family since he played music as JCB and The Mannish Boys way long ago...Gary Primich died last year and your dad kindly reached out to us then. May you find hope and courage in the days weeks and months ahead. And may his music continue to live on!
THANKS FOR THE MUSIC,IT OPENED MY EYES
TO EVERYTHING GOD BLESS YOU WILL BE MISSED
The original Mothers were the best. Sorry to hear that Jimmy Carl Black, one of the most recognizable MOI alumni has passed on. Rock and Roll heaven is getting crowded.
Bad news in the music... bad new in the world...

See you...
I've just heard the sad news - my love and condolences to Jimmy's family; to lose such a happy guy from your midst must be hard to bear, my thoughts are with you. Its a cliche but true, he will live on in his music - I personally will never forget the fantastic Cropredy gig!

I'm trying to do as Jimmy asked and not be sad...but its a tough call!

Johnny.
RIP Jimmy, you will always be the Indian of the group! You rock!
I just checked jimmys web site today hoping to here tour news and am heartbroken to hear of this great man joining the band in the sky, jimmy you will be always remembered rest in peace brother
Hey Jimmy,

I grew up on the music of "Mothers of Invention" in Boulder, CO. in the 60's. "We're Only in it for the Money" was one of my favorite albums. You looked great in that silk dress on the cover!

You will be missed. You join a great crowd of humans that have passed away so far this year; my wife, for one, Paul Newman, etc. etc. Godspeed.
Jimmy... Thanks for the ride and sharing a part of your life! From 'Captain Glasspack and His Magic Mufflers' in Santa Fe to 'Young-Kardo-Black' in Taos to stealing the bus in Florida to the 'Jimmy Carl Black Band' in Austin. You inspired me to continue playing and became my other brother and I love and thank you for the time. My heart goes out to Gary, Darrell, and Geronimo knowing he loved you deeply. Save a place in your next band JCB and I'll see you there!
Trail of Tears - Denny
