You left a great legacy. I'll look you up when I get there to shake your hand.
Jimmy Carl Black,
Thank you for all the great tunes brother! I hope I get to go to Heaven cause I know you & Frank are jammin' for the big guy.
So sorry to hear this.
Thanks for the great music & laughs.
Well done, Jimmy.
my deepest condolences to family and friends-
it's so hard to think of "the indian of the group" being dead. it seems like only yesterday i was smoking pot to 'we're only in it for the money' and just a couple weeks ago i saw Joes Garage and met gail. I hope my kids start listening to this shit or we're all in big trouble.
After a few bones w/ the M.O.I. somewhere in the Village, Jimmy turns to me and says:"What R U high?" We had all come from boogieing with the Blues Project and I remember Tim Hardin puking on Jimmies Beatle boots and I replied "no, but Tim might be.
My condolences to the family..
You will be missed.
I have a red set of drums! I'll never forget you
Jimmy Carl Black! I can't express how much your
music influenced me over the last two decades.
I grew up on The Mothers and in Los Angeles. That music is part of the geography as far as I'm concerned! R.I.P. My condolences to the family. Jimmy was an amazing and dedicated musician. I still have my (Mono) copy of Freak Out that got me into a bit of hot water when I brought it to junior high school for my English class around 1966. How cool was it that when I moved to Austin I had a chance to meet and hear the original!

Say howdy to Frank for us...
Kim and family-
My sincere condolences to you all. your dad was always a fun man and a great musician. It's been years, but I'll always remember watching him play in the Mesilla Valley...
SAN BERDOO,CA. loved Jimmy& the rest of THE MOTHERS!
Keep playing that drum!

Nestor P.
I am so sorry to hear that Jimmy has passed away.
I saw Jimmy a week before he passed away on Saturday in Höpfling on his balcony talking with friends and enjoying the afternoon. I heard recently that he was living not far from us in Siegsdorf.
I send all my compassion to his wife and children.
It is hard to lose a dad or a husband.

RIP

David, Am venusberg, Siegsdorf
