Thank you for all the great moments you made possible with your music, you'll be always remembered. Rest assured, dear Jimmy, that every thunder from now on will be heard as your drums from the skies.

years ago i was familiar with geronimo black via the el paso music scene. one night geronimo brought his dad to a performance of my band the new texicans. much to my suprise his dad was jimmy carl black from the mothers! it was at la union station in la union, new mexico. it really blew my mind to meet jimmy carl black and then he graciously played a couple of stones covers and a doors tune with us. it was a real blast to look back and see him smiling and pounding those drums. my condolences to geronimo and the whole family. jimmy carl black was a real gentleman! jason crouch
I had a great time partying with you over 20 years ago in Arcata, CA. You are a wonderful, kind person and we'll miss your presence on this Earth. We will remember you with smiles on our faces and laughter in our hearts, while we continue to listen to the great music that came from your soul. Rest in Peace, Jim. Our love for you persists.
