Keep on drumming, Nigel, A Fan Name: seth Commenthi Name: Mark Christopher CommentDear Jimmy..I grew up in the San Gabriel Valley just west of CUCAMONGA!.Right out there on route 66 with the Freak Pachucos.I was 12 years old when Freak Out was issued and since I was already playing drums,loved doo-wop,humor,social commentary and free form music I was hooked right out of the gate and remain so.I learned alot about music from the Mothers.Get home from school,crank-up my little mono record player,jump on my tiny Ludwig set and play along with Feak Out,Lumpy Gravy ,Money,Abso\Free,Weasels and sadly Burnt Weeny.Those were the days!I even had a copy of Memories of El Monte wich I found at the Amvets thrift store in Azusa.I made a living[?]playing drums in L.A.for about 12 years.There was a bunch of Motherism lurking and oozing around the edges of our employable presentation wich would become more evident as the gig wore on.You can't play here if you're just gonna make fun of the music.I'm very glad that you guys are still going at it.
